At 1,2 Smile we encourage preventative dentistry and we love seeing families come for regular check-ups and hygiene visits. To make things more affordable 1,2 Smile will only charge one family member when the whole family comes for a full consultation.

Only pay for ONE family member
When a family visits, only one member gets invoiced. If your medical aid covers diagnostic dentistry, then the visit will be invoiced at your medical aid rates, so that the patient(s) do not pay out of pocket.
With 1,2 Smile's Preventative Plan, you only pay for your first consultation, and if you are regular with hygienist visits, your annual consultations will be at no cost.
Consolidating Payments
Managing dental care for the entire family can be complex. Our plan simplifies the process by consolidating payments and appointments, making it easier for you to ensure everyone gets the care they need.
Thorough Clinical Exams:
Our clinical exams entail, amongst other things blood pressure and vitals, laser detection of cavities, x-rays, diagnostic intra-oral photos of the relevant teeth or areas, orthodontic screening, assessment of joint of the jaw, bone and hard tissue, soft tissue, lymph glands, tongue, pharynx etc. If any procedures need to be done, a treatment plan with options and costs is presented and discussed in this same visit.
Preventive Care
Regular dental check-ups are essential for maintaining good oral health. Our plan encourages preventive care by covering the cost of routine dental exams and cleanings.
Dental Assessment takes 60 minutes
The backbone of preventative dentistry is a patient's dental assessment. We dislike the use of the word "cleaning" because it is so much more than a "wash & wipe". The duration of such appointments is 60 minutes, so that there is sufficient time for scaling & polishing, Guided Biofilm therapy, guidance and discussion of personal dental hygiene methods. We regard this as a destination visit, where the patients become equipped to manage a high level of dental hygiene.
